Feisty, Frugal, & Fabulous Review/Giveaway I'm so glad that Sophie's Chic Boutique ventured beyond their two retails stores in Salem, Utah, and decided to conquer the online market. Otherwise, I would not have had the opportunity to meet storeowner Kim and check out her ridiculously low priced Squeaky Shoes!
The idea behind squeaky shoes, because the child needs to walk from heel to toe in order to hear the oh-so-exciting squeak noise, is to encourage proper walking in beginner walkers. My daughter has been walking for almost a year now but I love the squeaky shoes anyway (and so does she!) She gets such a kick out of the noise SHE makes and is so proud of her accomplishment (kind of the same pride that comes from knocking the heck out of my pots and pans in the cupboard).
Which shoes did we pick? Of course I can't stay away from brown and pink and these brown mary jane style shoes with pink flowers will match so much of my daughter's Fall wardrobe. You can actually see in the picture that there's padding on the back of the heel which is nice. The velcro strap is great for keeping the shoe snug and the overall feel of the shoe is soft with a flexible sole.
